I’m from Salt Lake City, Utah. The tribe my family is from is the Assiniboine’s in Montana/Canada. I’ve been learning the old ways of my ancestors, as well as other tribes and cultures, of how to tend the Sacred Fire, and many other Earth related medicines. I’m looking forward to helping watch over the fire for our long weekend together!
Introducing pods: small group circles for authentic relating games and time to share. Many people on our team will be a pod facilitator (roughly 15 people per pod). They will create a safe container for their group to listen with an open heart and practice taking ownership of their story. The people you meet in your pod will be a great anchor point during Celest Fest. Pods will meet 3 times during the festival, and each person will have a chance to speak, to be heard, and to listen. Many thanks to Maizy Anderson for helping to create the structure of these pods.
